Gold's bearish trend is still intact after price tested the low of the consolidation range near 4,487 support. Resistance sits at 4,491 — and whether price reclaims or breaks down from here is the key question heading into tomorrow. Daniel walks through the H1 chart, the failed breakout setup, and the measured-move target already hit. Watch these levels closely before shifting bias.

Hi, I'm Daniel, an 8-year professional prop trader teaching beginners. an FX Trading Lab community built to help you profit. For full details, check the description box below this video.
Today I'll cover gold technical analysis from Trading Lab. I'll blend in some of that content as we look at the current 1H chart. Starting with the short term outlook as always The recent trend is clearly continuing higher right now.
Earlier, I shared this analysis exclusively for Trading Lab members first. The low had already been updated, playing out just as planned. So that's how things stand — let's walk through it as usual.
Starting with the Tokyo session, I'll walk through the detailed breakdown from there. Yesterday's gold Tokyo session closed and confirmed on this Yin candle. I mentioned the low of this Doji candle's sideways range as the first key level.
I flagged this as a likely Tokyo session scenario to watch for and that scenario actually played out, hitting the lows as expected Today's candle closed testing the low of this sideways range. The key focus is whether price breaks below this doji's low.
and if the cooling holds, watch whether bullish momentum stays strong price could test the key support low of this larger consolidation range a downside breakout from this level is also a key scenario if this becomes the dominant leg, downside momentum will accelerate further on shorter timeframes, avoid counter-trend trades and stick to short only this could trigger an even stronger and more sustained bearish move overall so just keep that point
in mind as you follow the charts now let's move on and review the one hour chart from yesterday the red line marks where yesterday's live stream began for members the detailed breakdown was shared exclusively for Trading Lab members The full analysis is exclusive content for Trading Lab members only. I can't share everything here, but let me cover four key points today. Let me briefly cover yesterday's bias first, then the community view.
For Trading Lab members, a short setup formed on this candle. And right now, there are still no signs of a reversal or trend change in sight. So today the overall bias is completely bearish, as Daniel mentioned.
The second point is how far down price can realistically drop. As I mentioned, price could cool down near the low of that bearish candle. Price could pull back toward the low of that bearish candle, as I noted.
Third, if we measure using both these levels as our base candle horizontal range, the major measured move target has already been reached. so a trend reversal from this level would not be surprising at all and as always let's review yesterday's price action let's look back at how the market developed into this range the price action process and a classic failed breakout pattern forming the setup forming, then watching for that strong bearish drop to complete the sequence I've already covered that in detail.
Today I also put out a Trading Lab members-only stream. The content covered the bias and the upcoming low update in detail. The price move has played out as expected.
But for today, we need to think carefully about switching our bias. So we need to watch price action closely before shifting our bias. I also do a full recap of the previous day's price action in detail. For today, the downtrend remains active and bearish bias continues on gold. That wraps up today's video.
